City Defence Set to Limit AEK Chances
Manchester City host AEK Athens in the Champions League with both sides level on points after two matches. City have won four of their last five games overall and score two goals a game at home in the league. AEK have kept clean sheets in three of their four league games so far and concede less than one goal per game on the road. The Greek side also manage only half a goal per away league match, which suggests they may struggle to break down City’s back line. At the other end AEK have shown they can score in most matches but face a side that has kept a clean sheet in one of two league outings. Expect the game to feature limited chances for the visitors as City control possession from the start. The main risk lies in whether AEK can find a rare away goal against a high-pressing home team.
